The true agricultural application value of magnesium sulfate
Magnesium sulfate is a dual-element fertilizer containing Mg and S. Both sulfur and magnesium are medium-level nutrients essential for increasing crop yield and improving crop quality. Magnesium is the sixth major nutrient element for crops, a component of chlorophyll and pigments, and the metal element in chlorophyll molecules. It is an activator of various enzymes, an essential component of polysomes, and promotes the formation of vitamins A and C in crops. Magnesium promotes photosynthesis and the formation of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It is also an activator of hundreds of enzymes, participates in enzyme composition, and promotes crop metabolism. Magnesium can enhance crop disease resistance, prevent pathogen invasion, increase crop yield, and improve crop quality. Additionally, magnesium promotes the absorption of silicon by plants. In crops, magnesium is generally distributed with the highest content in seeds, followed by stems and leaves, and the least in roots.
Manganese sulfate
Magnesium sulfate can not only increase crop yields but also improve the taste of crop fruits. Magnesium can also promote the formation of vitamin A and vitamin C in crops, thereby enhancing the quality of fruits, vegetables, and other crops. Sulfur is also essential for the synthesis of amino acids, proteins, cellulose, and enzymes in crops.
Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate
Generally speaking, leguminous crops contain higher magnesium content than gramineous crops, and the magnesium absorption of root crops is usually twice that of cereal crops. Field crops such as rice, peanuts, sesame, and economic crops such as citrus, bananas, pineapples, tobacco, as well as vegetables such as potatoes, tomatoes, and cucumbers, are all crops that require more magnesium. Magnesium sulfate, as a fertilizer, can be directly used as a base fertilizer, topdressing, and foliar fertilizer. It can be applied alone or blended as a component, and can be used in traditional agricultural fields as well as in high-value precision agriculture, horticulture, and soilless cultivation.
